Welcome to Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley
Welcome to Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley
Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley is an inclusive secular congregation that celebrates life. We don’t advocate for any religious or spiritual beliefs, but we do welcome all who welcome all - humanists, agnostics, atheists, and believers.
We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month to hear fascinating talks, sing pop songs, share stories, and connect with each other. Throughout the month, we connect in small groups. You can find our upcoming events on Meetup.
Our motto: Live Better. Help Often. Wonder More.
Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley is part of a global movement for wonder and good. Find out how we celebrate life!

We are excited to welcome Erica Byrne for a captivating talk on how we can make a big impact through small, consistent actions.
In a world where big problems can feel overwhelming, she will show us how adopting a mindset of "continual process improvement" can be incredibly effective. Drawing from her own work with Rocky Mountain Skeptics and examples from a recent Skepticamp, Erica will share how small, everyday actions can lead to significant progress in promoting science and critical thinking.
She will also expand on this idea with broader examples from public policy, where radical change is often impossible, but persistent, smaller steps have created lasting success.
This promises to be an interactive and inspiring session. Come connect with our community, enjoy great music, and learn how your everyday actions can help build a better world.
Erica Byrne served for many years on the Board of Rocky Mountain Skeptics in Colorado, participating in task forces to expose and rebut pseudo-science and scammers. A chemical engineer by training, she spent many hours rebutting the false creationist claim that the Second Law of Thermodynamics somehow makes evolution impossible. (It doesn’t.) She is currently consulting in the use of heat-recovery ventilators to reduce heating costs while improving indoor-air quality.
She also served on the Boards of Colorado Humanists and Health Ethics Lobby for Patients. In Colorado, she served two years on City Council, and offers a one-day interactive workshop on the ethical obligation of public servants to serve the public interest.
